This is the right experience to learn how to do it from scratch with mortar and pestle, according to the traditional technique and my grandmother’s recipe.
My dog Ettore and I will welcome you with glass of prosecco and when Pesto will be ready you can taste it with a plate of pasta which with its taste will let you forget the stairs you took to get to my kitchen. Between pleasant chats you will discover the history and tradition behind which the flavors of Ligurian cuisine are hidden.
The experience takes place in an authentic XVI century private house in Riomaggiore (Cinque Terre) located in the village center. After few steps you can appreciate the stunning view of the village and the sea from the roof terrace on the 3rd floor of the house. The characteristic colored tower-houses are built following the steep orography of the hill and give a fantastic glance above all from the sea.
THE EXPERIENCE INCLUDES
- a welcome glass of prosecco;
- all ingredients to prepare pesto;
- a plate of testaroli to taste it paired with a glass of Cinque Terre wine;
- RC insurance;
- all taxes and fees.
DURATION
The Pesto workshops lasts 1,5 hours.
